The ETI-2 is packed with features that are both powerful and easy to use.

Page Forward/Page Back Buttons

Move text forward and back, one page at a time.

Pen Palette

Tap the tab to open the Pen Palette when you are reading an eBook Edition. Then tap Draw to make notes on a page, Erase to delete notes and marks, Hilite to highlight text, and Search to look for a word or phrase.

Bookmark

Bookmark a page simply by tapping the upper right corner.

Highlight

Highlight text with just a touch of the screen.

Notes

Add notes and drawings to a page. (Even insert a blank page for additional notes.)

eBook Icon

Reading Menu Icon

Displays several options and can vary depending on whether you are reading an eBook Edition, looking at the eBookshelf or browsing the eBookstore.

Open Book Icon

Open Book Icon

Allows you to move back and forth between two eBook Editions.

Bookshelf Icon

Bookshelf Icon

Enables you to view all eBook Editions stored on your device's eBookshelf. You can also view items on your Online Bookshelf where all the eBook Editions you own are listed.

Shortcut Icon

Shortcut Icon

Sets a shortcut to a specific feature/function on your eBook.

eBook Icon

Page Orientation Icon

Changes the text orientation.
It also allows you to adjust the contrast and brightness.

Touchscreen

The back-lit 4.75" x 3" grayscale LCD touchscreen, with adjustable brightness and contrast controls, enables comfortable reading anywhere, even in the dark. Use your finger to touch the icons and links to activate the many features and functions, or use the stylus that is stored on the top right side of the device.

Page Navigation Bar

Skip through your title easily and quickly. Touch the bar and it displays the number of your current page.

The Side of Your eBook

Operates like a pen for selecting items on screen. To release simply push up on the stylus and pull out.

Power Button

Turns the power on and off.

The Top of Your eBook

The ports for the power, USB and phoneline connections are located on the top of your eBook. Open the rubber tab and fold it back to use these ports.

Power Connection

Plug in your power adapter here.

USB Connection

Plug in your USB cable here if using the eBook with your PC or Macintosh.

Phone Connection

Plug in your phoneline cord here.

The Back of Your eBook

Open the rubber tab on the back of your eBook to find the reset button for your device and the SmartMedia™ Memory Card slot. The reset button allows you to reset your eBook. The SmartMedia™ card (not included) is an optional accessory that allows you to add memory to your eBook.

Reset Button

Use this button to reset your eBook under certain conditions.
