How do I register my new ETI-2?

I would like to register a new ETI-2 to replace the eBook Technologies eBook I lost. How do I do this so I can keep all the eBook Editions I purchased?

I received a message while purchasing content that my ETI-1 is not registered. What do I do?

How do I access my registration information if I need to update it?

Can I transfer all the eBook Editions on my current eBook device to my new ETI-2?

How do I use the USB connection on my ETI-2?


How do I register my new ETI-2?
To register your new ETI-2, do the following:
1.) Plug one end of the phone line that came packed with your ETI-2 into the unit and connect the other end to an analog phone jack (most homes have standard analog jacks), or connect through the USB to your PC or Macintosh.
2.) Turn on the ETI-2.
3.) If you are not viewing the eBookshelf, press the eBook icon at the top left of the screen, then tap Settings.
4.) Tap Phone Connection to select the best description for your location.
5.) Tap Go to Bookstore at the bottom of the phone connection page
6.) Your ETI-2 will dial into our network and take you to the registration page. Follow the on-screen prompts to input the required information. If this is your first eBook Technologies eBook, select the first option on the registration page and tap Create New Bookshelf.

I would like to register a new ETI-2 to replace the eBook Technologies eBook I lost. How do I do this so I can keep all the eBook Editions I purchased?
The first thing to do when you have your replacement unit is to register the new unit. Be sure you have the correct phone line settings before registering, as instructed in the Quick Start Guide that came packaged with your new ETI-2. Press the eBook icon, then tap Bookstore. Your eBook will dial in and open on the registration page. Select the second option, Connect to Existing Bookshelf.

I received a message while purchasing content that my ETI-2 is not registered. What do I do?
To check and see that your eBook is registered do the following:
1.) Press the Bookshelf icon, then the eBook icon.
2.) Tap Info on the dropdown menu.
3.) You should see your name and user ID in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. If this information is missing, you will need to review your registration information in the Customer Support area of the bookstore. See the next question for information about updating  your registration information.

How do I access my registration information if I need to update it?
To access your registration information do the following:
1.) Press the Bookshelf icon, then the eBook icon.
2.) Connect your eBook to a phone line or USB connection.
3.) Tap Bookstore on the dropdown menu.
4.) After you are in the bookstore, press the eBook icon again.
5.) Tap Directory on the dropdown menu.
6.) Tap the Customer Support icon
7.) Tap Register to review and update your account information.

Can I transfer all the eBook Editions on my current eBook device to my new ETI-2?
Yes. This is accomplished during registration. Be sure you have the correct phone line or USB setting before registering, as instructed in the Quick Start Guide that came packed with your new ETI-2. Press the eBook icon, then tap Bookstore. On the registration page, select the second option, Connect to Existing Bookshelf, and enter your eBook ID and password.

How do I use the USB connection on my ETI-2?
