To register your new REB 1200, do the following:
1.) Plug one end of the phoneline cord that came packed with your  ETI-1 into the device, and connect the other end to an analog phone jack (most homes have standard analog jacks), or connect to your Ethernet line.
2.) Press the Menu button to turn on the REB 1200.
3.) If you are not viewing the eBookshelf, press the Bookshelf button at the top edge of the device and tap Settings on your eBookshelf.
4.) Tap Open on the dropdown tray.
5.) Tap Phone Connection to select the best description for your location.
6.) Tap Go to Bookshelf at the bottom of the phone connection page.
7.) Your ETI-1 will dial into our network and give you a message that your eBook needs to be registered. Follow the on-screen prompts to input the required information.

I would like to register a new ETI-1 to replace the one I lost. How do I do this so I can keep all the eBook Editions I purchased?
The first thing to do when you have your replacement unit is to register the new unit. Before you make any new purchases, call Customer Service at (800) 386-7389. Customer Service will un-register your old unit and move the purchased eBook Editions from your lost unit to your replacement unit. You will need to give Customer Service the serial number of the new replacement unit, and it is helpful if you have the serial number of your original unit.
