The
screen on my REB 1200 locked up. What can I do?
If the screen on your REB 1200 locks up, the suggested course of action
is a complete power down of the eBook. Close the cover of your REB 1200
for a minute, and this should return the screen to normal. If the
screen is still locked, close the cover of your REB 1200 and open the
battery compartment. Make sure there is no red light at the edge of
the battery compartment. Remove the battery for a few minutes. After
you reinsert the battery and close the compartment, turn on your REB
1200 and the screen should be restored to a normal state.

The
icons and menus on my screen don't seem to be as sensitive as they once
were. What can I do?
If
the icons don't seem as sensitive, a realignment of the touch screen
may be necessary. To realign the touch screen, make sure the REB 1200
is turned off. Hold down the left side
of the page switch and while holding, press the Menu button
at the top of the REB 1200 to turn on the unit. You should press the
Bookshelf button if the eBookshelf does not appear on the screen. Press
the Menu button again and in the dropdown menu tap Info. In the top right
corner of the screen, tap the word "more"
inside the oval and on the next dropdown menu, tap the word "align"
inside the oval. A large X will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Follow the instructions to press on the center
of the X until it beeps and the next letter X appears on the screen.
You will be asked to tap the center of the X in several places around
the screen until the realignment is completed.
